Ooey Gooey goo

We worked hard today.  Isabelle began reading "Frog and Toad are Friends", worked on some mapping skills, did a little word work with "again", did a few math story problems, created a green paper turtle, and put together a compass rose.  Beverly took us on a ride to Telvent to give Bobby the car, and on the way home we stopped at Hunan's for a little chinese take-out.  The Moo Shu Chicken was very good.  Then we had Family Home Evening.  We talked about what it means to "build your house on a rock", sang songs, and talked about things we do that keep our family together and running smoothly.  We then made cornstarch/water goo and saw that if we stopped molding it, it slipped through our fingers, and right out of our hands.  That's what happens in life; if we stop moving and doing what's right, our lives tend to slide right out of our hands.

James, "I'm making a cake Mom.  It's not done yet.  NO!!! I said It's not done yet."
By this time Isabelle had already washed her hands, and didn't want to get them messy again.

They are both trying to stir the concoction, and seeing that it is not a good stirring mixture.
Mixing it with his fingers.  It just kept slipping out of his hands, but He didn't give up.

His cake if finished.  We sang happy birthday, and blew out the candles.
